New Labeling Rules for Saudi Portable Lighting Implemented

Starting from June 2026, Saudi Standards Metrology and Quality Organization officially enforces new labeling rules for portable LED lighting devices. Work lights, headlamps, flashlights, sensor lights, solar lights and camping lights are all covered by the regulation. Both product bodies and outer packages must carry labels in Arabic, English and Chinese simultaneously, and the font height for warning texts shall not be less than 2.5 millimeters. Goods failing to meet labeling requirements will be rejected at Jeddah Port. Chinese foreign trade manufacturers are revising product label printing solutions to avoid customs clearance losses.
