Work Lights Export Inspection Tightened by Customs

Starting June 1, 2026, China's General Administration of Customs has implemented new regulations under Announcement No. 57, launching annual routine spot inspections on import and export goods not subject to statutory inspection. Lighting lamps have been listed as a key category for export inspections. Non-compliant goods face return, destruction, or technical rectification. Non-compliance extends beyond quality issues, as discrepancies between nameplate information and certificates can also cause cargo delays, with one lighting seller incurring over 20,000 RMB in additional costs.
